Intended for runners who have a higher, more stable arch that does not pronate excessively(roll inwards) or may even supinate (roll outwards). Neutral Cushioned shoes offer very little or no structure or pronation support and are generally more flexible than stability shoes.
Runners who require a neutral shoe tend to notice more excessive wear on the lateral(outside) side of the soles of their running shoes.
Neutral shoes can vary from lightweight and minimal cushioning to maximum levels of cushioning depending on the needs and preferences of the runner.
Runners with high/stable arches tend to notice pain on the outside(lateral side) of their shins and knees and may also battle plantar fasciitis if not wearing a neutral cushioned shoe
About This Deal:
This price is $4.00 less than the same previous popular Frontpage Deal.
I love how people think $100 is a reasonable price for a running shoe. Its a shoe you're gonna throw away...
I love how people who clearly know nothing about running are commenting on this deal. This is a carbon shoe, brah. Various studies on these and similar shoes have shown running economy improvements by 4%. $110 for these shoes is a steal compared to the alternatives from Nike.
4%! What is that a joke!? Also sponsored by the Athletics association of America to sell more shoes...
An extra $50 for a 4% increase in whatever is probably some of the greatest cognitive dissonance I've ever read. I guarantee a new pair of $50 shoes ever 3 months is better for you than a a $120 pair every 6.
No, they're not... You clearly don't know what these shoes are for. These are for racing, most commonly used for marathons though some will wear them for workouts. Watch any marathon and check out what 99% of the elites are wearing. I guarantee it will be some version of a carbon shoe.
I guess Rolex watches are superior than every other watch cause they cost 5000% more huh?
That's the same logic you're using here...
No it's not lol, carbon plate shoes cost more since they are newish tech, they improve performance and energy return. If you ain't got it just say it and stop downplaying shoes you aren't interested in.

I love how people who probably couldn't run a 35 min 5K think they understand running shoes and what makes each model unique.
Yes, shoes wear out just like vehicles. But I wouldn't take a RAV 4 into the extreme rocky or muddy back country with a horse trailer in tow. Running shoes are no different. Sure, they all have soles and laces. That's were the comparison ends.
These particular shoes are not "I'm going to run some errand" shoes." They are solid training and race day shoes meant to help break PRs. I bought a pair at full price when they released and very happy I did. $100 is a bargain because the v2 of the shoe is essentially unchanged.
So, yes, for anyone looking for a very light, plated shoe for their fast run days this is a fantastic price. OTOH, this is not a shoe for couch potatoes as the plating system requires force to be effective. Walking in these shoes isn't that comfortable. They are running shoes in the true meaning of the word.

I do 10ks in approximately 50 minutes. Fastest 5k was 20:30 with trail new balance.
How does this compare to Asic's Nimbus? I'm neutral but need the extra cushioning.
These are nothing like the Nimbus. Nimbus are very cushioned (and heavy), good for your basic or maintenance run days. These are ultra light for tempo runs or race day. They aren't that cushioned compared to the Nimbus, and are VERY stiff if you are not running at a fast pace. They also are not the kind of shoes you can convert to "walk around town" when they are worn down. You can't really walk in them for long distances. It just feels weird fighting the carbon plate.
You might want to look at the Endorphin Shift. It's a cushioned shoe of the Endorphin line and doesn't have a plate. I've never worn it though so can't comment on how it compares to the Nimbus.

This is a pretty spectacular price for a top end carbon race shoe.

Lmao I don't run but get notifications on SD about sauconys. Humans cannot quantify a 4% improvement on anything but paper.
