It does not exclude preorders or Sony 1st party games, at least for right now. I just preordered Horizon Forbidden West for PS5 for $39.xx after the discount. This is a great deal.

Thanks for the heads up on the free ps5 upgrade for the PS4 version of horizon. I had no idea and almost got the PS5 version for 10 bucks more.

Anyone still want Mario Home Circuit? Luigi set is on sale for $70 (Mario set $75), then this discount worked. Took it down to $40 with red card before CA tax. I think I'll bite. If you do this, buy online for instore pickup or delivery. Do not grab in store and ring up normal as they likely don't have the initial $30 off.

I think I'll do the Luigi Home Circuit to go with the Mario one I got from previous Target deal for $55 and the horizon forbidden west and hope preorder comes through. Slick deal!

It means you put the disc in to play, the disc is effectively just the DRM key. If you don't want to have to use the disc then you have to buy the digital version from the PlayStation store.

Source: I have a PS5 and have been doing this for almost a year.
