It does not exclude preorders or Sony 1st party games, at least for right now. I just preordered Horizon Forbidden West for PS5 for $39.xx after the discount. This is a great deal.

I just activated mine an hour ago. Items in my cart work. Only game that it didn't work on was the new Warioware game, which was weird because it's working on pre-orders and all the other games I tried. I don't think it's gone I just think a lot of people aren't eligible by default and need to go through chat.

Bleh. Every time these posts come up, I'm always eligible for their cheaper offers I'm not even interested in (like the current $10 beauty offer) and not for their better offers. Such a bummer since my son's birthday is coming up and this would have been awesome for that. : P

Edit: Spoke to another rep and got them to adjust to 40% after confirming they were eligible

Apparently Zelda:BotW and MarioEmbarrassmentdyssey didn't qualify according to the support rep. They gave me 10% off, plus 10% team member discount, and 5% red card discount. Not as good as 40% + those others but it's alright.

After a long chat that started out promising, the rep said it was not offered to me and his "hands are tied". Offered me 10% which I politely declined. He asked me to send him order numbers as proof that others have gotten 40% off 🤔

For anyone that did not get the promo. I chatted 2 target reps online. first 1 did not honor the promo for me. 2nd one did. I gave them this link which someone else posted on here (https://www.target.com/circle/o/t..._xasd0002)

and then I told them my friend was able to place the order with this promo. They told me Its for selected members only. I then asked If they could honor the same for me. The rep told me to place my order and they will adjust it. And thats what they did.

I ordered Grand turismo 7 collector edition, Mario party superstars (both are preorder) and Also got Mario golf.

Make sure you start the convo with something nice like (Hi *name*, hope you are having a great day)
