It does not exclude preorders or Sony 1st party games, at least for right now. I just preordered Horizon Forbidden West for PS5 for $39.xx after the discount. This is a great deal.

The best I was offered after spending an hour on chat was 20% off and when she looked at my cart she immediately said all first-party games or pre-orders are ineligible. I basically got shut down.
All I wanted was Metroid Dread, Horizon, and Fifa22.

I got the offer on one of my accounts, ordered like $500 worth of games. A friend also tried and was denied several times, but mentioned that I managed to get the discount, rep asked him for my order number, I gave it to him. The rep checked my order and took 40% off his entire cart, preorders collectors editions and all.

thanks, got metroid dread and mario party superstars for 30% off. put them in my cart first. was shut down by chat twice then got offered 20% the third time. said no thanks, I'll wait for a better deal. they went up to 30 so I took it - don't think dread will be lower any time soon.
