I have the 1tb on my PS4, well worth an SSD on this console. You won't be sad about the upgrade, especially if you're coming from the stock 1tb spindle drive.

Seems like it's tough to get a clear answer on which OEMs/SSDs are affected by the recent bait-and-switch practices (where manufacturers supplied reviewers with units superior in performance to what they actually shipped to consumers, and then blamed the chip shortage for their blatant dishonesty). Does anybody have a good sense for what to avoid and what is still legit?

Mushkin seems like just about the cheapest entry 1tb nvme in a while. Needed to upgrade a system with a 500gb sata ssd, and cared more about price than speed. TU

Yes it works, I have it in my PS5, you can also get a heatsink off amazon that fits this SSD and it fits perfectly with the heatsink installed as well.
