A couple digital retailers have
Heat - Director's Definitive Edition (Digital 4K UHD) on sale for $5.
Note: This movie is listed as
MA, Movies Anywhere, at Vudu but not at Amazon or iTunes. But is in the
Movies Anywhere Catalog [moviesanywhere.com]. I bought it on Vudu and it showed up in my Movies Anywhere, Amazon, and iTunes accounts.
About Movie: Master criminal Neil McCauley (Robert De Niro) is trying to control the rogue actions of one of his men, while also planning one last big heist before retiring. Meanwhile, Lieutenant Hanna (Al Pacino) attempts to track down McCauley as he deals with the chaos in his own life, including the infidelity of his wife (Diane Venora) and the mental health of his stepdaughter (Natalie Portman). McCauley and Hanna discover a mutual respect, even as they try to thwart each other's plans.

As for the sound design, yes, this could never be done again as they filled the city with the sounds of gunfire, would panic people now.
