I have one of these and it makes a terrific cup of coffee. Not a traditional pour-over per se, but definitely better than an automatic drip hands down! These are the same one's sold in Star Bucks and made by the same company, just without the Star Bucks branding.

Yes, with this Oxo you pour all the water in at once to a tank on top and it slowly drips it out onto the coffee so you can walk away. What you're showing is a Melitta brewer and that requires you to slowly pour out the water from your kettle until it's all done. Melitta brewers ideally are used with a gooseneck style kettle too so you can better control the flow of water. With this Oxo it doesn't matter, you can dump in water from any kettle and not care.

Just came to say I have this for 3 years for daily 2 cups of coffee and it's still going strong. It's plastic so I can't say anything about the BPA or micro plastics issue but I did try looking for a glass pour over similar to this and came up short. I have tried Chemex and clever but neither are as hassle free as this.

It's not the same as the Oxo, you have to pour all the water in by hand with that brewer. It takes about 4 minutes of standing there with the kettle. With the Oxo you put all the water in the tank at once and walk away, it will drip down and brew automatically.
