If his device had broken 5 months ago and he returned it, that's one thing. But, to go and return it because there's suddenly a different device? "Come on, man." It's literally the reason why they changed the unlimited return policy to 90 days for electronics, because people were grossly taking advantage of it.

My hearing is fine, but I feel my previous receivers didn't have to work this hard. FYI, all my previous Denon receivers use decibels.
Is this normal?
From when I bought this 4311 to now, I have 2 kids so I can't blast the sound like I used to anymore hah. As long as its serviceable, and eliminated lip sync (which is rather annoying) then it will be fine.

And if they don't give you your money back for some crazy reason, they'll usually either give you store credit (which you can put towards the new item), or just let you pick out a 'replacement' for the same price or lower. If it's higher, you just pay the difference.
I don't think it's really a dick move. You literally pay them an annual fee just to shop in their store. The rest of the perks are there to both further entice you as well as stave off the competition. They uphold that mighty return policy because it's what keeps people coming back - the safety and security that you can make high priced purchases without the full commitment. MOST of the time we really do stay committed - we just needed that safety net.
Do some people abuse it? Surely. But I doubt it's enough for it to really make any difference to them at the end of the day. They've got a pretty solid business model that's positively thriving, even in these times. So seriously, if you really want this instead, I say go for it. That's the beauty of it. It'll make you happy, right? You'll walk out of there feeling like a king with your new product in hand, and for them, well, they can rest assured you'll be returning again and again and, of course, renewing that membership. 👍🏻 It's a win/win.

and the ARC is a pain in you know what. i have to reboot the soundbar once every week atleast to get the handshake to work.

I need to connect some kind of output to my analog amps for outdoor speakers.
I am currently using a cheap optical to analog converter.
