If his device had broken 5 months ago and he returned it, that's one thing. But, to go and return it because there's suddenly a different device? "Come on, man." It's literally the reason why they changed the unlimited return policy to 90 days for electronics, because people were grossly taking advantage of it.

Now, I just need to figure out how this Denon one is really better than the Yamaha TSR-700!!!
Besides the HDMI/format improvements and the Denon only having 1 HDMI output, when it comes to sound quality/power/home theater use, could one of smart people tell me the main differences between this Denon AVR-S760H and an Onkyo TX-NR676? I'm probably not audiophile enough that I would hear any difference.

if you need zone 2... you need zone 2.
This receiver has Zone 2. In the settings you can 'assign' the last two speaker outs to be the zone 2. (For obvious reasons, just can't use them as zone 2 and also have them be your height speakers - it's either or).
This receiver was a total surprise that just showed up in Costco's with no advance notification. It has 3 40Gbps ports which their higher level receivers don't even have.
And somehow they got them while other AVR's are sitting on ships for weeks. Sure it has to do with being Costco and getting priority shipping.
AND it looks like they did this without a large price increase that Denon put in their other models .
While this one doesn't meet my needs/ wants, If anyone needs an entry level receiver with 7 channels they better get down to their local Costco.
And for those complaining about the power... 150 Watts is only 3dB more than this 75 Watts... it is probably enough power for most of the target buyers.
Only if you hear distortion at your normal listening level do you need more power... having larger amps doesn't do anything if you don't need more power for some reason (inefficient speakers, large room, etc).
200 Watts does you no good if you only run at 40 Watts.
Does it work like this? Sure, but I only did it in the first place this way because my 4311ci is only 1080p. I bought one of these units and will test it with my setup using eARC instead of ARC and see how it works. The fact this is the first real reasonably priced receiver with working 2.1 ports is the driver here, and given Costco return policy and extended warranty of 2 years and the scarcity of AVRs to begin with due to the chip shortages It would be worth the test in my opinion!
