No its dotdot for atmos. The ear level channels and height channels are interchangable, but the subwooofer ones are not. So 7.2 is seven channels (either ear level or height) and 2 subwoofer channels (really its just 1 split..but its marketing to call it .2). So this receiver can do 5.2.2 or 7.2.0. it cannot support 5.1.4 or 7.1.4 (5.1.4 would require a 9.1 receiver, and 7.1.4 would be an 11.1 channel receiver...those exist..but not in this price range).

Damn. I bought my 750h 5 months ago. I cooooould return it. But that's kind of a dick move for a perfectly working item

That's not how it works. People act like they're suddenly entitled to some to something when they pay the tiny annual fee (are you really of the mindset that the pitiful $60 actually covers the loss here?). Do you also act like you can intentionally wreck your cars because you pay for insurance?

If his device had broken 5 months ago and he returned it, that's one thing. But, to go and return it because there's suddenly a different device? "Come on, man." It's literally the reason why they changed the unlimited return policy to 90 days for electronics, because people were grossly taking advantage of it.

Just came back from Costco in Roseville CA, they had about 15 in stock.

Hooked up both ps5 & xbox sx. Can confirm 120hz + 4k with zero issues !

Finally something that works Smilie
Thank you! Reading through this thread and wondering whether or not they would have them in stock in Roseville - was there yesterday and did not see them. Applause

So I bought my 750 on 4/21
What exactly is the return policy
I'm pretty sure I'll just keep it since no problems
I do wish it had a b zone and still run 7.1 but I guess that would take a 9.1 unit unless I just hook the b zone speakers into the fronts
Just what's better about the 760 vs the 750?

Hey guys so what is the verdict on the sound of the music? How is it? Good quality? Enough power? I plan on using it to mostly listening to music. 2.1 or 5.1.

It sounds like a Denon. Very warm. Power depends on your situation but if you are asking about power on a $400 AVR you dont need to worry about power.

Any AVR that has a channel count designated by X.X or X.X.X will have one or more analog subwoofer outputs. That's what the second "X designates, the number of subwoofer outputs.

Apologies for asking here, but I'd rather ask fellow SD'ers instead of getting lost in the vast expanse of the A/V forums.

I will be connecting my PS5 and XSX to this receiver with HDMI 2.1 cables. When I connect the receiver to my TV, will it matter if I use a HDMI 2.1 cable, or will I lose any performance by using a standard HDMI cable?

Please pardon my ignorance, and thanks in advance.

Has Denon updated the on screen graphics for volume display? I can't stand how ugly mine looks on my 2017 receiver and I'd replace it just for that if it looks better (my volume bar is a giant black box, yuck)

No idea. Just updated. I'm at work now, so I'll have to dig in and see what's new when I get home.

Some people are reporting some cable issues. The correct answer is you should buy certified 2.1 cables. I used a quality 5+ year old cable and don't have any issue with my series X. There are so many junk cables on the market that makes this a complicated question.

Has to be 2.1 all the way, end to end from Xbox to the receiver, to the TV.
