No its dotdot for atmos. The ear level channels and height channels are interchangable, but the subwooofer ones are not. So 7.2 is seven channels (either ear level or height) and 2 subwoofer channels (really its just 1 split..but its marketing to call it .2). So this receiver can do 5.2.2 or 7.2.0. it cannot support 5.1.4 or 7.1.4 (5.1.4 would require a 9.1 receiver, and 7.1.4 would be an 11.1 channel receiver...those exist..but not in this price range).

That's not how it works. People act like they're suddenly entitled to some to something when they pay the tiny annual fee (are you really of the mindset that the pitiful $60 actually covers the loss here?). Do you also act like you can intentionally wreck your cars because you pay for insurance?

If his device had broken 5 months ago and he returned it, that's one thing. But, to go and return it because there's suddenly a different device? "Come on, man." It's literally the reason why they changed the unlimited return policy to 90 days for electronics, because people were grossly taking advantage of it.

Sifting through the manual to find this setting. Unsuccessful so far!
It was concerning using this AVR with Nvidia video card, but it could help with other issues as well. Look in video settings?

I believe it's in Settings>Video> 4k Signal Format

That's the one that I already changed to "8K Enhanced" to enable 4K/120Hz. I believe my issue is very unique as I am asking the AVR to pass both the video and audio to the TV (passthrough setting). And then using the eARC on the TV to get audio from TV to the soundbar. I understand it defeats the purpose of the AVR but I had to try that to see if it works. I am getting the audio to soundbar alright. It is just that the lossless audio is not being passthrough via the AVR. I am using certified HDMI cables that came with XSX and PS5.

What about going avr hdmi to tv, then tv to soundbar using optical out?

What tha.... You can't be serious. What are you trying to accomplish here?

The AVR does not send an audio signal to another device. It sends it to the speakers. All your HDMI ports are inputs not outputs. The arc connection is sending a video feed to your TV and taking the TVs audio back.

1. I am trying to use my soundbar as audio device till I get the speakers.
2. AVR does passthrough signal (audio/video) when selected in settings. You can choose whether you want audio through avr or through TV.
3. I plan to get the devices connected to AVR and do cable management in the time I buy and setup speakers.
4. The audio is working through my setup. It is just that Atmos signal is not being transferred/detected.
I hope this clears up if I am being serious!

Optical out won't give Atmos as it is lossy (my guess). The thing is I am getting audio alright..just not the Atmos signal. I will revert back to the hdmi switch till i get the speakers later 😊

I'm using a Denon AVR-1913. It's ~12 yrs old. My TV is 1080 and I don't care much about Dolby Atmos and Dolby vision, at least for now.
1. What would be the advantages if I replace it with an S760H?
2. Would S760H orrr S750H make much differences in sound quality?
3. Is S760H's MultEQ basically same as that of 1913 or did it evolved?
4. If I replace a TV with LG OLED C1, which has HDMI 2.1, would ARC have limitations on 1913?
Thanks in advance!

While the phones probably cost very little to make, companies claim they spent $$$$$ on R&D to design the phone. There may or may not be some truth to this. I do think any phone over $400 is overpriced. Folks paying $1K+ for a phone are insane!
Cost to build an iPhone 12? $431. This isn't some $0.25 plastic piece being resold for $30. Electronics are expensive, and given current chip shortages, I'd guess prices are up across the board.

I love unsubstantiated garbage posts like yours:

https://www.techwalls.com/product...artphones/

Samsung spends 12.6b per year on R&D most of which goes into cell phones, tablets and TVs. Cell phones being the most complex of the devices.

So there is some truth to balance your anecdotal, baseless, speculation.

How do you feel about vaccines? LOL

No. That's why it's selling out everywhere. It's the first affordable AVR with 3 fully working 4k/120hz VRR ports
