Griddle plate + Coleman white gas is more flexible. Inefficient way to boil, stew, fry, gridele only.
this unit does have a oil drain spout.
For the Coleman, that is 14k per burner, or 28k total. They make a H replacement for Coleman, but I like the round for pots, pans, coffee, etc. and does not seem to matter with a cast iron griddle. Whatever you use, you will get used to it and know the cool spots that are often beneficial when making a meal for multiple people to be served at same time.
Bottom line is people should buy what they like/want. I threw the option out there as an option and especially for camping and propane. I have been many places for a few weeks or longer where propane purchase is not an option. For the Coleman, I can siphon out of the gas tank if needed. I also like the metal lid and wind wings over the cloth/fabric tarp.

Having had a few propane models, none of them are as versatile as the Coleman dual fuel [homedepot.com] stove that can actually use white gas, unleaded pump gas, small or large propane bottles with an adapter. And it has a metal lid with metal windbreak wings that you can close while even still a bit hot.... like if it starts raining. The last one I bought was $100 on sale, but like everything else, the price keeps creeping higher. My Dad has a single fuel that must be 50 years old. If the power goes out and no propane bottle, no problem.
The same with the Coleman gas lanterns except none I have use propane... all white or unleaded gas. Hang one from a tree on high and it will light up the whole campsite.
1) the Coleman has uneven heating element. One burner burns hotter than the other.
2) you need a lodge cast iron plate to do griddle. Since there is uneven heating, one side is hot and the other side is not so hot. Sucks cooking on it.
3) since you are using the lodge cast iron plate, there's no height to the plate and so food always spilling into the stove and the cleaning is annoying.
4) there's no grease catcher so you'll have to blot the grease or you'll get a grease fire.
I own both and have used both extensively. The Coleman dual fuel is great for camping and cooking with a 10" sauce pan and boiling water or making coffee on the left burner. The griddle is great for burgers, hot dogs, hibachi, steak sandwiches, etc…
I have a larger family so I need more cooking space and the blackstone wins. If your family is 2-3 people two, the Coleman is more economical and wins on that due to fuel flexibility.
Note: I also own two Coleman dual fuel single burner. I love them. Sometimes I bring all my Coleman burners and stove and leave the black stone home.

some people love a griddle top.like literally 90 Percent of their cooking can be on a griddle. I find my personal use could possibly. be as high as 50, but that's taking things I normally would use a pan for and transferring it over
