Pretty solid deal for the price - the only thing it seems to be missing is USB C charging.

Description
Turn your imagination into tangible projects with this 15.6-inch Full HD ASUS VivoBook laptop. The Intel Core i5 processor and 16GB of RAM deliver high-speed computing performance, while the 256GB PCIe SSD enables quick access to media files and apps. This Star black ASUS VivoBook laptop features a fingerprint reader for secure access and Bluetooth connectivity to sync with wireless devices.

I picked up a lesser vivo book 6 months ago for 350-ish. Lightning quick boot, ok-ish screen (look at the price, guys), mushy keyboard that I got used to eventually, lackluster battery life if you're away from an outlet. The fingerprint reader was really quick, when it worked. Sometimes it took a while to do anything and I'd give up and just type my password in. The case had quite a bit of flex to it. If I picked it up by one corner while it was open, it flexed enough to "click" the track pad. That said, it took several 3' falls, open and closed (bastard cats) onto tile and it barely was scratched and the laptop worked fine.

I used it for light cad work, web browsing, photo culling/online back up etc while away from my much more capable desktop. I'd still be using the laptop had it not been stolen in Costa Rica. That said, I'm looking for something beefier to replace it because I may be on the road for quite a while - it was not a desktop replacement by any means.

Stolen in Costa Rica? Probably by SLOTHS!

Was yours the lesser Celeron version or an i3 or Ryzen version?

if it was the F512 version, that one especially has a screen with terrible viewing angles. ASUS has improved screen quality SLIGHTLY on their budget laptops from the F513 forward (at least the viewing angles are better). I would advise anyone thinking of buying an ASUS vivobook to go look at Amazon and YouTube reviews for the specific model you're considering. If the screen quality is important to you, you really need to know what you're getting. If this one uses the same screen as the F513, then it's an "average" display with decent viewing angles. They're putting OLED displays in the K513, but that's not a budget model. There are a zillion different models with similar model numbers, potential buyers should always research the reviews first!

Also, they have two different types of keyboards in their vivobook models. In my opinion the ones with the highlighted ENTER key (like this one) are the better ones.

I3. Pretty snappy. Slowed down if I had several Vivaldi tabs open and lightroom and SOLIDWORKS simultaneously. That's asking alot of this laptop though

The 513 i3-1115G4 with 4 threads and fairly high 57k Octane scores available to it, I haven't run into slowdowns with many tabs, 50+, open.
