I cashed out my discover cash back for the happy gift cards last year that had Lowe's and GameStop. If your plan is to try to convert to third party gift cards, I wouldn't recommend it. For Lowe's, all the stores around me in Chicago have simply stopped carrying third party gift cards. While on a trip to Bloomington, I stopped at a Lowe's with third party gift cards but the cashiers and manager would not let it me use the happy gift cards to buy them. I ended up using them to buy GameStop gift cards at a GameStop in hopes of buying an Xbox Series X. It's obviously pretty hard to liquidate a GameStop gift card. I'm sure others had easy experiences, but for anyone thinking to quickly convert these to Amazon gift cards it's seriously YMMV.

Depends on the location. The card specifically says that no gift card can be purchased, but some Lowe's employees don't check on them.
Please note that at my local Lowe's, gift cards can only be purchased at a manned register (i.e. no self-service kiosk).
Yes, and that's what makes these a good deal. These are run as credit gc's which Happy doesn't sell directly. I used over $500 last winter to buy Amazon GC at Lowes using the same method.

Are these "happy Gift Cards" only available to certain card holders? I'm not seeing the same discounts. I see 25% off for Bed Bath Beyond for example, but only 10% off Lowes.

Has anyone tried "recently" using them to buy amazon gcs? What worked last year isn't guaranteed to work now.
Also can't use to buy amazon gcs online?
I have a couple hundred in cash back, but don't want anything from any of thsoe stores if not able to get other gcs.
Honestly last I did it was a year ago or so. The cards are still run as credit, issued by metabank, meaning they are credit cards. No reason to believe they won't work.
That said, it takes 7-10 days to actually get the physical card so it's unlikely even OP has gotten them in hand yet.

I guess I could get it and then if it turns out to not work I could wait until a relative has $200 worth of lowes stuff to buy and sell it to them...
I just thought maybe someone in here had bought happy cards recently, so could know if it's worked. Does lowes only sell third party gcs ins tore, though?
thats right. so its time of the year now? i remember the last time we got those amazon gcs at lowes was back during the xmas time last year.
remember those gcs needed to be rung up by a human. cant do the self checkout. you still can do at self checkout but it still required an override.
Absolutely, I did many amazon GC's using this trick last year and recently. I just 2x 200GC's which i will go ahead and redeem at lowes for items ill need for the new home and get 1 amazon GC. killer deal if you ask me

my local lowes allows me to get amazon GC's with these holiday cards, i just run them as credit as one of the users mentioned in this thread. the only REQUIREMENT is the cashier not to be nosy and where i live in GA no one really cares unless its someone elderly who is working the cash register.

My luck is they won't let me. I about always run into the go by the exact rules people at various stores. I also see now from other posts that you can't use them online. So not sure what I will do at this point. I've been waiting on a really good gc cash back redemption offer and just letting my cash back sit there. I did 15% staples one time to stack with 2 promo codes for a modem.
Just FYI, now the happy cards (that have lowes) require online redemption or exchange. That means you cannot use it as a credit card. You will have to redeem/exchange it for lowes' gift cards online.

they dont care or they are not aware of? i am sure they want to keep their job.
