Great price. Don't think I have a use for it though. Other than shortening up doors, what other uses?

I need a battery… suggestion? This will be my first device purchase with Ryobi. I intend to add a few more tools (blower), maybe a power washer.. down the line.

Watch for starter kit deals for around $99 with a tool and the 2 packs of 4Ah batteries for $99. They'll start showing up around the holidays. It's not uncommon after the holidays that the battery 2 packs will become a closeout item for ~$60 YMMV.

How do you mount this? And how much would that thing cost? Thanks.

I'm in the same boat as I'm not sure when I'd use this tool. My luck, I'd buy it and a month later they'd announce a brushless version.

If you need to take down just a small bit from an exposed edge, and want a tool that's just a smidge more aggressive than a sander, this will do the trick. Not often used is correct.

I don't want it, but I bet I'm going to need it one day. Think I'll show some restraint and buy it retail if I do. Unless I snag it in one of the $99 deals for so cheap I can't ignore it.

For now I'll stick with an angle grinder and flap disc.

With Lowe's charging like $8 or $9 bucks for each flap disc these days this planer might actually pay for itself in one job lol
