Last fall and pre-Christmas, which you can check on here, everyone was complaining that all of the Milwaukee and DeWalt sales had far more metal blades than wood blades.... like this same set. Now, if you need metal blades, this set is for you. Me, I am overloaded with them while preferring the carbide models.

================

An age old argument, that will depend on comparing apples to apples and the latest designs. For bi-metal and the price, these are fine. but you will go through a bunch of them. If you want to lay down the cash for carbide, Diablo has been better than Milwaukee for steel, but Lenox is better than Diablo. And all three have been better than DeWalt that does just decent with wood.

And of course, there is diamond grit, carbide grit, etc. It just depends on what you are cutting, the proper speed and moving the saw to and from to clear the debris on thicker steel while trying to use all the teeth.

I got the blade pack in this post and then the 2 pack of the carbide. normal price is $10 for one blade.

That oscillating blade set isn't horrible since there is a carbide and titanium blade in it. I just hate how expensive those things are. Just added the 10 pack. Also on special. Doubles up what was in the 5 pack but only $15 more. I ended up ordering that and will think about it.

I missed the order window by a few seconds to get it by tomorrow. Not that I need any of it tomorrow, but just surprised it was almost next day shipping for free.

Comes with 17 metal blades and three wood blades, which is nice. It seems a lot of the combo sets are the other way around, and the metal cutting blades never seem to last long. Anyone have experience with this particular brand?

Are these universal? Can I use them with a dewalt reciprocating saw?

Similar to how you use a higher tooth count circular saw blade for nicer cut, I use the "metal" blades for relatively nice wood cuts. It's great for when you want a nicer cut, but don't need to perfectly square, and convenience is a priority.

Yup! Any brand, one or two hand styles all work.
