Bought these in last sale. Have tried Magna Tiles and these. The magnets are a lot stronger with these and this is a good variety pack. For some reason I do prefer how the Magna Tiles feel in the hand, but going to get more of these. Happy with them.

FYI - I believe there's only 80 actual magnet pieces in this set. The remaining 20 pieces are click-in letters and windows.
If this is your first set, 80 magnets won't get you very far. I feel like you need at least 3 of these sets to be able to build anything substantial. I've seen comments on other threads suggesting 500 pieces to have fun, but I think 3 of these sets (240 magnets) is good to start with.
Besides connetix tiles (gold standard forget about magnatiles) these have been the best, we have picasso and some other cheaper brands and these magnets are bigger and better, we have about 5 sets of these, I prefer the 150 packs when they go on sale

YMMV. My 2 (then 3, then 4) year old went crazy with these. And while they're WAY easier to clean up than legos, the more you own, the more you have to clean.
Why this a good deal when there are other available at lower price. 148 tiles for 40. Am I missing something here?
Thanks all
Ass others have noted, these not only have stronger magnets but also more magnetic contact points which make them more stable when building.

Have to agree vs Magformers too. These make stronger builds, but I much prefer the look and feel of Magformers. Already invested in Magformers, as I found two sets at thrift stores.
One advantage of Magformers is that you can get a lot more accessories, wheels for vehicles, animal faces, gears, etc.
Big downside, they are normally much more expensive.
But all these magnet sets are fantastic toys for kids. While they don't play with them everyday, they will play with them off and on for years, from 3-13.

Have no had any issues with them cracking, warping, magnets coming loose etc. Hands down a good quality set.
