This was in my Target app, likely targeted and offers can vary from user to user, but worth activating even if you're not sure you'll do two $30 orders or not.

Confirmed or just speculating?
I can confirm the system removes the rewards if there is ANY return. I had an offer in August for $15 in rewards for two $40 orders. I placed one order with a subtotal of $43 and the second order with a subtotal of $50.86. I recently returned a $10 item from the second order, making sure my subtotal before taxes was still over $40. The next day my rewards disappeared. When I clicked on Target Circle Bonus and past history, I could see the check mark was removed from the second order.

I was able to get them restored, but I would not recommend any returns from your qualifying orders if you want to keep the reward.

Has anyone tried to use the rewards before making a return? Will the system deduct the used rewards from your return? What if its a partial use of the $15 reward? Is the system smart enough to know exactly how much reward to deduct?

Not advocating doing this, just trying to figure out how target has it all programmed.

You obviously never done software programming, because all of this fraud that you are advocating --- let's not pretend otherwise --- is very easy to catch.

I got $15 reward for 2 $60 or more qualifying purchases. Any one know if i purchase 2 items, each more than $60) in separate transactions and then return 2 days later, would that still give me the reward or will the reward be cancelled ?
Yet another found. My view overall on humanity is leaning further and further into shit-hopeless territory.

Get off your high horse. Should we examine your life and see how many immoral things you've done?

Obviously target hasn't programmed this tightly. Otherwise if you did a return and was still over the spending threshold, you'd keep your rewards without human intervention.

LOL. Everyone here sees you for what you are. Being indignant won't help.

I had a return like that, after rewards were used and my return was reduced by that amount. Sort of like Kohl's if you use the Kohl's cash and then try to return.

Glad it's set up that way to prevent fraud. I've seen too many people ask about buying, getting rewards, and retuning.

were any items on the order 'excluded' items? Also, if some items haven't shipped yet, check again after the order is complete. Sometimes unshipped stuff doesn't count towards the spend until it is shipped.
You were correct. After the last item shipped today, the order that was paid for with my $50 off $50 Redcard coupon now counts as my first qualifying purchase.

You don't get a gift card. You clearly don't understand how this works.

Target knows I'm a big spender weekly - I have to spend $400 ($100 x4) to get $40 🤦 ♀️
That's the same offer I received as well.
