The Blair Witch Project (1999) has almost zero violence, and rather mild gore in my opinion. Jacob's Ladder is more drama than horror, and the violence is almost purely war-based instead of the usual slasher type violence in horror films. Lastly, Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark is PG-13 so probably more scares and gross than gore in that movie.

Scary Stories and the Boo series are the least violent options. Scary stories is also pretty great for any fans of the book series.

No, they're all Lionsgate.

You should probably take a little more time to read descriptions of things. The answer to your question is up there.

Thanks both of you!

My viewing of Halloween movies is badly lacking. On this list, I've only seen Cabin in the Woods and Blairwitch Project.

Does anyone have any recommendations for three especially good ones to pick from this list?

Evil Dead 1 and 2
Sinister
Cabin In the Woods

On a separate note, I never heard of FanFlix. Is it like a hub of sorts?

I paid $5 for The Last Witch Hunter (4K) on FandangoNow last year, and it was pretty good for action and a bit of horror. I watched it a few times now which is more than my other purchases. Vin Diesel and Elijah Wood. Then again, I thought the last Hellboy movie was good too for the action.

They have been around for a couple of years now with some of the best 4K deals anywhere. I think they make deals with Lionsgate, WB, and a few studios (except Disney/Fox) to offer these discounts. Some of their past deals that were posted on Slickdeals:

https://slickdeals.net/newsearch.php?firstonly=1&forumchoice%5B%5D=4&forumchoice%5B%5D=9&forumchoice%5B%5D=10&forumchoice%5B%5D=13&forumchoice%5B%5D=25&forumchoice%5B%5D=30&forumchoice%5B%5D=38&forumchoice%5B%5D=39&forumchoice%5B%5D=41&forumchoice%5B%5D=44&forumchoice%5B%5D=53&f orumchoice%5B%5D=54&forumchoice%5B%5D=71&mode=frontpage&q=fanflix

When you buy through Fanflix, they send you an e-mail with separate links for each movie. They will also redirect you to a page with the links immediately. You choose where you want to redeem for each movie, so you can redeem 2 in Apple iTunes and 1 in Vudu if you want. It's only Apple iTunes or Vudu now, but in the past, Google Play and FandangoNow too. Because Apple iTunes sometimes have the 4K, it will redeem in 4K while it only redeems in HDX on Vudu and others. Apple might upgrade to the 4K for free when it's available.

Well that was easy. Already had Army of Darkness in my Vudu library so I picked up both Evil Dead movies to complete the trilogy and got Cabin in the Woods. Really enjoyed that one when it was on Netflix a few years ago.
