$200.00
Total Tech Support is $200/year. It looks like most of it hasn't changed, but the warranty is new. It includes a priority Customer Service line and some free/discounted services, like car electronics installation and in-home home theater hookups.
The extended warranty is new. Everything seems to include a 2-year extended warranty, which stays in effect as long as your Total Tech Support membership is active - cancel or don't renew TTS, and the extended warranty gets canceled effective the same day. It looks like Apple products get Applecare automatically, with the same restriction.
And some TTS-exclusive discounts pop up from time to time.

That's my understanding, yes.
It looks like there is Service Fee for each claim for Best Buy Protection plan which I don't think geek squad protection plan has.

I think you're right, once it's outside the manufacturer's warranty (and not for Applecare beyond AC's already-existing fees). So if you actually NEED to file a claim, it might come out to the same cost a couple of years later.
This is only a good deal if you have five iPhones and a few Macs. And replace them every 24 months.
Thanks for sharing, I mean, it is newsworthy, but this is not a great deal even for Best Buy frequent shoppers.
Maybe if they cut it to $99 in-line with Prime and Walmart... maybe I could see buying it just for fallback coverage. But Asurion is $25/month ($300/year) and covers everything with no two year limit.
