Sign up for a Walmart+ monthly membership or log into your existing Walmart+ membership account and enter your Platinum Card as the payment method.
You'll receive a statement credit each month that covers the full cost of monthly membership
Offer Notes:
If you currently have an annual Walmart+ membership, you must switch to a Walmart+ monthly membership before your annual membership ends and add your eligible Card to receive the credit.
To switch your Walmart+ annual membership to a monthly membership, please update your membership type by clicking here or by calling 1 (800) 925-6278.
Your Walmart+ monthly membership will start when your annual membership ends. Annual Walmart+ memberships do not qualify for the statement credit.
Statement Credit typically arrives in a few days but can take up to 6-8 weeks after the membership fee is charged to your Card.

Platinum is supposed to be a premium credit card - has one of the highest annual fees of any CC, and they add a Walmart benefit? I think Amex is confused and really diluting the brand and product
The new Soulcycle benefit that was also added is completely worthless
They diluted their AMEX Deals too. It used to be only a few but they were all very decent. Now its full of junk from tiny retailers that i've never heard of and takes forever to filter through the garbage.
I admit, i will probably use this Walmart deal but i dont thiink the typical AMEX Plat card holder would ever step foot insiide a walmart.
I hope AMEX dont continue going down the shitter.
Wow, talk about out of touch! I know a handful or Platinum card holders (myself included), and none of them would have any qualms with shopping at Walmart.

This is an advertised thread. Wonder who advertised it - Amex or Walmart - and they thought maybe beyond those omnipresent ads for this benefit in both Amex and Walmart websites, if someone held the Plat card but didn't know of this benefit, then they'd sign up seeing this?
No saying there are zero chances, but it'd be interesting to know the data and so see if their cost-of-acquisition was worth it.
Not sure why some people complain about this somehow Walmart+ being beneath them or the card somehow. I never shop at Walmart but I've grown to like Walmart+. Often times it gets things to my door much faster than Amazon, and often even for less as well.
An item-return to store (purchased online) is not a smooth and not a happy experience!!!
I have never had an issues with an online order return in store. Once you get to the cashier it's no different than a Best Buy or Lowe's online order in store return
Hell they even arranged pick up for a foam king mattress once for an online order. I'm sure they wouldn't have done that if I bought it in store.
Any authorized users got the Walmart+ benefit to work for them? I've tried last year and I still got charged and when I called AMEX, they claimed the benefit wasn't applicable to AUs.
The Basic Card Member will receive up to $12.95 plus applicable taxes in statement credits per month when they or Additional Card Members on their Account pay for a monthly Walmart+ membership with their Card. However, statement credits will only be provided for a total of $12.95 plus applicable taxes per month, per Card Account.

Word. I also have the $40/year in-home delivery service - you can still request doorstep delivery and it requires no tips if you're using their 9am-1pm/2-6pm windows since those are done by walmart drivers.
I don't get why someone 'smart with money' wouldn't take advantage of what is the cheapest/best delivery service. Good deals are never beneath me!

I read that language to mean that the account will get $12.95 total across all cards. So if the primary card gets the credit in a particular month, none of the AUs will. Alternatively, an AU can get the credit, but then the primary cardholder won't get it.
So many delusional people on here. People that have money like saving money. I hope these people realize that a lot of Walmart stores have grocery as well. Here in Florida a lot of their prices are significantly cheaper than Publix. A gallon of milk is about a $2 difference. My wife does Walmart curbside pick up almost exclusively for groceries there. She never gets out of the car and it's a quick easy pick up process. They also don't upcharge the grocery prices. Publix partners with Instacart for curbside so you get to pay a premium on top of their high prices when doing curbside pick up.
For reference, I am blessed to make a six figure income and am happy to continue saving a few dollars here and there instead of throwing money away.
Oh and my Walmart also has gas, which is also way less than anyone else near us.

I have this benefit on my Amex Business Gold, never shop at Walmart, but do use the 10¢ off per gallon at Exxon/Mobil stations. Nice for free.
