It is something Home Depot , Lowe's and the tool companies know about and use to sell more product.
It is why so many of us stalk Slick deals and You Tube to see if there are any tool hacks today.
You can do the hack a few different ways.
Milwaukee has probably sold 10 times the amount of tools they would have if they didn't allow the hacks. It gets you into their platform and buying stuff you wouldn't normally shop for.

Now if only Milwaukee had a better design for an oscillating tool.
With Dewalt falling, Fein being too $$$$, and all the other brands milking the DIY'ers that don't know any better, the need for a quality oscillating on the market is going to be growing soon.
The new smaller makita is wayyyy better than the old hand destroyer they had, but it's still heavily lacking in a lot of aspects (but it's got a huge swing compared to others out there. I forgot the exact range, but it's larger that I ever thought could be needed.)
Bosch is too weak

Just did it with the crown stapler and battery combo. I entered my pro account (i.e. phone number) and they scanned the batteries and processed my refund to the original payment method.
Flip of the coin, if they run this special again.
