Not true.
"Patched" just means the ipatches they apply at the factory which cannot be applied afterwards, so if it's "unpatched" it's hackable forever regardless of what firmware it's on, see https://arstechnica.com/gaming/20...-hackable/

I am debating whether it's worth doing this deal or not because I don't ever use handheld mode, but still would be nice to have the newest version.
Is it ONLY for in store credit, not same amount for cash?
Also, does anyone know iv V1 switch ahs anything that was lost in V2 where maybe my V1 would be worth something more on ebay?
