Nice. I got mine for 279. Overall I am happy with it.

onemesh helps boosting coverage, but speed is much worse than dedicated mesh. you can't mix and match it with deco mesh.

This thing is huge, about the size of a mini chromebook. super thick. Antennas are fixed and can't be adjusted.

My house is 2k sqft, single floor, router is in the center of the house, coverage is sufficient.

Bought this at launch for $300. It's decent. Got plenty of coverage from it. However, for the first 6 months or so I couldn't get the maximum speed from my provider (Spectrum), I was only getting less than half of it. Sometimes it worked after a reboot but only for a short time. I called the ISP to make sure it's not their fault. It wasn't. Then, about 6 months ago TP Link released a firmware update which appears to solve the problem. It's working fine since then. I highly recommend you apply the lastest firmware to get the best functionality.

This and other more expensive routers can also handle routing more devices. This one is a tri-band 12-stream router.

Also, extenders aren't good because they halve your wireless throughput.
I suggest if people have wired gigabit Ethernet throughout the house just buy a wireless access point. This could also be an old router if you want a cheap option.

The wifi coverage for this unit was great, and I liked the software, but the hardware cannot handle gigabit internet speeds. Spent hours on the phone with technicians before they admitted it was a known hardware throughput issue for high speeds and the patches they put out can't fix it. I should have researched the router forums and Costco reviews first because I see others had similar issues. Unfortunately ended up returning it to Costco and I'm gonna wait for a wifi 6e model to come out.

Let's say I buy this to share my wifi with everyone, how far does this cover in terms of footage outside of the house?

Used this in a 4k+ square foot house to replace a Nighthawk and a Netgear centrino on repeater mode. Single level. Worked well and even reached the garage for OTA automobile updates. Plenty of wifi cameras and computers and streaming devices. No issues.

Easy to use app and plenty of bells and whistles to play with, like prioritizing connections (zoom meetings and classes). Had to disable the smart band function that automatically puts the device on the strongest signal as that was causing significant slowdowns and disconnects for some reason. Haven't had an issue since disabling it.

If you're on the fence, just do it. It's Costco. You have 90 days to return it if it doesn't fit the bill. But I'm pretty sure it will.

Hi Slickdeals - I just ordered this router from eBay refurbished by TP Link. $40 cheaper! Thought the community might find it worthwhile.

All those antenna. These things are really starting to remind me of a Gillette fusion razor and all the unnecessary blades.

Will this suffice for a 2 story 2500 ft home where the router is in the bedroom upstairs?
2300 sq ft here. Just bought this router on Monday. Similar situation for me. It's upstairs in the back of the house. Excellent coverage throughout the house. I currently have Xfinity service with the XB7 modem if that matters.

While the box is hardware version 1.6 it's actually the old 1.0 version with a sticker over it

The 1.6 version has more memory from what I understand and the faster processor

Can somebody share what the differences between the 1.1 and 1.6 are
