Not sure why I keep renewing my membership as I have not been to a movie theater in two years. I guess the real reason I have stubs membership is for the free popcorn and drink which used to pay for the membership alone. I've missed two birthday deals so far.

Despite being fully vaccinated and wearing a mask I just don't see myself sitting in a theater for 2+ hours any time soon. It's a shame as this used to be something I loved to do, but at my advanced age, I think I will pass.

Looks like I will let my membership expire despite this generous enticement. :-)

Our family still goes, but we are a bit more wary about our seating. I try to book earlier showings or wait for releases to be out for awhile, so less people in the theatres. The theatres are not nearly as busy as they used to be. Been to the theatres where only our family is in there or maybe just me alone. Guess a lot of people feel the same way you do and are not filling up the theatres. Our family is vaccinated and we wear our masks still too. Guess we are just used to it now.

We have membership mainly to be able to buy tickets without an extra fee. Works with Atom tickets for example and will be seeing Bond this weekend. First time in theater this year, but Bond should be seen in IMAX or Dolby Cinema at least. Given 2hr 43 min runtime, might actually have to get a snack at some point, but we try to avoid that if we can.

Once you're 30 minutes in there's not really a good time to go get a snack.

Been to concerts, Shows, and Movies since being vaccinated. Been normal for months now thankfully, in regards to me doing things again. There's just something about the movie theater experience I love. Everyone has their own risk tolerance but I'd definitely encourage people to go out and check out a movie if they haven't. One that's actually worth it. I think Matrix is going to do huge numbers. Once you do it a few times, you start to feel like you did pre pandemic. For some people it's the getting them to do it again that becomes difficult and that's understandable. Just gotta ease yourself back to feeling normal, but you will in the end. I'll say I'll never go to the normal seating theaters again. The layback reserved ones are the best.

Just saw an event with 24,000 people with no masks required cause it's vaccinated only there. It was weird in the beginning but then just felt normal.

Nice little deal from AMC

You are silly, theaters are almost empty. We take the kids and always get the theater to ourselves
Nope. Not silly at all. Not even in the slightest.

Mine expires in spring and I will not be renewing.

I used to got to the movies every other week, especially during the summer. But last year showed me how much I don't actually need theaters. I am quite happy with my TV and even have plans to install a legit 4K projector and a large screen. Added benefit of not having to deal with dumb people talking and playing with their phones. And I can stop the movie anytime I want to go to the bathroom or get more snacks. And I don't have to ride the train back home. LMAO

Sorry, not sorry AMC.

If you can go during the day the theaters have been basically empty. Saw Adams family 2 last Friday at 11:20, we had the entire theater to ourselves.

Just came back from watching the Bond movie at AMC. Great to visit a theater after almost a year and half. Theater was not very busy , but didn't feel unsafe at any point.
