This is a dual-mode wireless keyboard with trackpad, meaning it can connect to your computer, TV, etc. via bluetooth and/or included USB unifying receiver dongle supported. It's also the model that can be used on a virtual desktop in an Oculus Quest2. This is normally priced anywhere between $100-$150 but drops down to 60 bucks a couple times a year. Darn good deal that just earlier today, became active again.

you do not need this for the quest, if all you do is play games. if you like to browse the internet using your quest for some reason then i guess this is useful to type with

I have one and love it. The only drawback is the lack of multiple Bluetooth connection like the other Logitech keyboards. It does have dual device support, one on BT and one on RF, but you cannot switch between devices unless you then off one.

Looks like people do office work on VR headsets using a program called Immersed.

Someone on Ebay has sold 1300 of these and the latest sales were at $179. Why are people paying so much? Was it out of production for a while?

Does Walmart ever have stock on this? It's OOS online but priced at $44.90. https://www.walmart.com/ip/Logite...gn_id=9383

Interesting... Looking at the deal history here on SD and reading the July thread about this keyboard, it seems they were hard to find in the prior two and a half years. Supply shortages and increased demand for telecommuting equipment during the coronavirus times probably didn't help either.

Just do a search for "HTPC Bluetooth Keyboard" and you'll find a variety of "Quest Compatible" (bluetooth) keyboards with trackpads or trackballs built in.
The Quest allows for bluetooth connections, so most bluetooth keyboard and mice should work with it.

People are completely missing the point. Quest 2 compatible refers to the fact that the cameras are trained to identify this keyboard and show a virtually aligned model of it within the headset so you can type easily with hand passthrough in certain apps. It's not about the Bluetooth connection otherwise yes, you could just use any bt keyboard.
