Remember when the reseller d-bags were saying this was going to sell out immediately and thinking they'd all make tons of money flipping it on Facebook in just a couple months?

LMFAO

Wasn't going to get this when it came out originally but for $36 pretax (bought w/ 10% off GC from yesterday's offer) figured it was worth a shot.

But I'll keep it wrapped until BF - just thinking it could be a $30 BF title if it's still hanging around.

This was never going to be a collector's item. You can't have a collector's item for anything once they become a mass-consumer item that people collect. This is like how everyone hoarded baseball cards in the 90s because Mickey Mantle was going for $100,000. By that point, they're so popular the manufacturers make 100x as many as they used to, and people hold on to them because they are "collector's items".

You want to collect things that nobody wants right now, but will want in the future. It's hard to figure out what people will want in the future though, which is what makes it speculation. A great opportunity to collect for would be the Wii U. Nobody liked the console, it was panned, had incredibly low sales, and most games didn't sell very well either, despite having some absolute gems.

I am still so annoyed that they didn't do a zelda one. Especially for oot master quest I'd have to get out an old console, either gc or original wii, to play.

If they make a Zelda collection, not going to believe them about it being limited and pick it up for $40 some months later.

There was a sweat spot for the timeframe to sell these. I sold three copies for $80+ each to the same guy on release day.
Man that must have been some kind of tight time frame to resell these if they gave you sweat spots. I hope you used bleach or a tide stick to get the stains out.

Not sure why it's not working for you, but possibly:

* Make sure you're entering it in the promo code field and not in the gift card field
* Make sure you aren't picking up a trailing space if copy/pasting

Otherwise - not sure why it's not working for you. I and others have been able to use it on multiple purchases.

Since Social Security is a broken system by 2050, you can sell this to cover your bills or pre-order a brand new casket.
