"How was your experience" pop-up legit?

4,770 482 October 10, 2021 at 09:02 PM
I go to slickdeals.net
I see a smiling blue emoji like pop-up at bottom right, asking for feedback of "how was your experience?"
Is that legit from SD?
Its questions were asking for a little too much info.
I thought it was from an ad I hovered over, and so ignored.
But, I still keep seeing it pop-up occasionally.

Hi Samwise Gamgee,

Do you have screenshot of this pop-up?

Cheers!

I'll have to get it next time.
I've cleared my chrome browser's cache/cookies from all time.
And ran chrome browser update.
It hasn't popped up again, yet.

Hi Samwise (great name btw),
I'm from the product team here at SD. The smilely is in fact legit. We are running a test on the Frontpage and are using that help us gather feedback about the changes we are testing. We leverage a third party tool called Hotjar to assist us with this. You can learn more about them here: https://help.hotjar.com/hc/en-us/...0045420794.

Hope that helps! Let me know if you have anymore questions.

Can you make it so we can close that crap?

Any time the site adds some BS that follows me around as I scroll, with no way to close it, I'm tempted to just close the site altogether. I often do.

Looks like someone came up with another annoying feature in the form of something promising "see new deals." Again, no way to close it. This sucks, folks.
