USB 2.0

Yeah, the USB 2.0 data functionality is really part of how they're clearly positioning this as a charging cable. However, the price isn't exactly amazing. In fact, the price is higher than some of the comparable AmazonBasics 10 ft USB-C to USB-C charging cables (specifically colors Red and Dark Grey - search ASIN B07CWC3BSF or B07CWC39TL ). The advantage of the AmazonBasics cables is that both of those are also USB-IF certified. Similarly, 9 foot and 10foot AmazonBasics versions without the premium nylon sheath come in under $10 (also USB-IF certified; search ASIN B01GGKZ4NU and B085SB6RSN ).

So, the Amazon Basics cables are on par with Anker? Does Amazon offer lifetime warranty of their cables? I just spent $50 buying Anker because I am tired of replacing cables so frequently and treating them with kid gloves gets old really quickly!

I would not consider a USB cable without USB-IF certification as on par with any USB cable with USB-IF certification. Amazon does have lifetime warranty for lightning cables. I'm not sure, but everything else likely falls under the normal one year warranty(?).
The market of uncertified cables with usb c connectors is so sketchy and confusing. Between standards for "charging", "data", and thunderbolt, etc it's confusing enough for the average consumer to buy certified/compliant cables … but things get weird when you start buying uncertified cables. definitely go with usb-if certification. I've been happy with anker cables so far.
