not familiar with the tech of usbc but lightning cables drop speed the longer they are does it also apply here?
This cable is only rated for USB 2.0 speeds (480Mbps), so it's really only meant for charging not for data transfer. But generally speaking, a cable should hit its rated speed regardless of length.
Bought this a couple weeks ago after my MacBook Pro 16 charging cable bit the dust.
It works great and charges fast, but honestly the "rugged durable" nylon exterior of the cord makes it kinda a pain in the ass to roll up and throw back into the backpack. It gets kinks and stuff…sorta annoying I dunno. Just my two cents that I offer to my fellow slick dealers.
When I look at it in CC it shows it has dipped down this low a few times, more often to what seems like 8.99 but spends most the time at 11.99. So while this is not some super great deal, I would not say this is the normal price.
Can't I get an USB A to C 10 ft cable for a little cheaper or the same price?
Not much cheaper. I was looking for some 10ft USBC, right angle end cables earlier this week (already ordered). USBA to USBC was about $12 for two. USBC to USBC, with a tethered USBA/USBC adapter, was $14.
Not a great deal. 240w cables with 10-40 Gbps data transfer can be had for the same price. Sales pop up almost weekly.
You have any recent examples of that? I don't recall seeing a cable that's 10' long rated for 100W+ that's also rated higher than USB 2.0 speeds, they seem to be pretty exclusively either meant for charging or speed.

Edit: I don't know about this brand or quality, but it was similar to the one I ordered.
