How is this a deal? Discover has offered these cash back redemption rates for most of these merchants for over 10 years.

I'd suggest booking Airbnb with a card that offers travel protection, other GCS are pretty good deal, personally a fan of banana, but no office time lately, so no need for new clothes

You are essentially lending discover $1400 with 0% interest for a long time.. that would be at least $30 interest lost per year for you

Where are you getting a 2% interest rate these days? The best I'm seeing is like 0.5%, so he's losing $7 per year.

As others have noted, this is the standard Discover gift card deal - nothing special, although these Happy cards having multiple stores is nice.

I've been getting 1.99% through my credit union for the past few years granted there are few annoying hoops to jump through to qualify each month.

I guess I am saving the ignorant with my post. This is the "usual" cash back. At least judging by BBB: these are always at 20% off. Just don't load up on these as you can do it any day.
