Has anyone ever tried buying it online for full price, then returning it to the physical store for a price adjust or asking them to return it and buy it back? I see so many stores in my area have these discounted but all OOS. I see these clearance HDDs deals a lot but the are always OOS in the physical store and they can be bought online at full price sold by Walmart and not a 3rd party.

I called Walmart and asked to speak with a manager. Sadly they won't match online prices in a physical store on a clearance OOS item even if it was bought directly from Walmart.com and not a 3rd party. But the item can be returned for a full refund in the physical store. Such good deals are so hard to find...Happy Hunting!

In the past I found that with brickseek even items that said OOS they still had 1 or 2 left.in store. Would definitely be worth if I can find.

Spoke with my wife since she's a mall rat. She said she does buy backs all the time at Macy's. If she finds it cheaper in the store after she has bought it online she just takes it to customer service, they do a return, and allow her to buy it back right away at the lower price. Too bad Walmart is not this flexible...Good deal but I'm not driving around hunting. Good luck to those that can find it!

i've done this a few times at Target, just saying i used the wrong CC online and wanted to put it on something else. it has worked there, it's normally a pain. i believe Walmart has some odd restocking thing after a return, prior to being able to repurchase it... but i'm sure its YMMV.
