Not sure who downvoted this or why, but i am concerned with this fine print

To qualify for the offer, International Mobile Equipment Identity (IMEI) number cannot have been associated with a Mint Mobile plan within 90 days of activation.

So, if someone was on Mint, and left for less than 3 months, they cannot enroll for this sim.

For those asking, they're not checking IMEI's. If you're already on Mint you will need to get a new number though which is perfect for the Google Voice folks. Just use your head, when you register on their website choose to do so by brand and model of your phone, not your IMEI.

Got super lucky on this... bought a $30/ 3 month 10gb card at Best Buy just around 45 days ago. Held off activating it while running down another plan I was on, activated that sim 2 days ago. They gave me 6 months on the 3 month card!! Couldn't figure out what was going on, now that I see this new deal I know.

Each sim slot has its own IMEI. It is tied to the slot, not the phone per se.

They did this last year too. This restriction is only applied to the deals where they add on additional service on top of what comes with the card, like this 3+3. You can still buy the off-the-shelf 3mo deals (like the $20 for 3mo) if you are using the same IMEI.

I have the Mint unlimited plan I'm not sure bout when throttled, but I'm a very data heavy user and have not come close to the 35 gig limit. Most I remember hitting has been 25-28 gigs or less... and I even generally stream YouTube while I drive. Those stream at 480p, which is more than perfectly fine on a phone screen.

Started with their January 3+3 deal and am really happy with it...
