Now that you know it's plastic you know not to put your body weight on the lever and break it

Guess what else is plastic....almost everything else you own including half your car lol. We also ingest a significant amount of plastic, if that gives you any warm and fuzzy feelings about buying more plastic.

At least have a decent manual one for when the power is out. Me, I am waiting on a deal for a quality smooth opener that keeps the cutter away from the actual contents.
