Unless you have a big family or are eating way too much rice/carbs, I recommend holding out for the 5.5 or maybe 3 cup version. It's easy to click and buy this, then have a giant rice cooker on your counter forever, or lug a giant rice cooker on and off the counter.\
......
That all said, does anyone know if the fancy expensive Zojirushis (or other brands) make passable sushi rice? All I need is 'decent' sushi rice. The fancy ones have a 'sushi' setting, but never heard anyone talk about the results, ever.

Checking out now. Cancelled the other order. Price point at this price is worth the additional/marginal cost vs features. Thanks
I read a comment on the Zoji youtube video that said this unit is 99% identical to NP-NWC10 / NP-NWC18 but without the IH pressure cooking technology. You are paying $200 more (today's sale price) for the (10-cup) pressure cooking feature. I would spend that extra on an Instapot or comparable for dedicated pressure cooking.

Would return this Amazon Basic 5.5 cup version I bought last week. But works ok so far and good for the price.
