Don't know why this isn't getting more traction…
because wifi6 is worthless for a residence
so if you already have a decent gig dual AC
there's little point in buying any new router.
this issue gets debated here on pretty much
every router sale thread, so buckle up
got mine yesterday at Best Buy for $170, excellent router, now I get almost full download speeds in all upstairs and downstairs bedrooms, upload is still the same as my old ac68u router which I planned to use as part of mesh but probably don't need to as speed and range is good enough for my 1800sf home.
Anyone have this router and can comment? Anyone ever try it with a third party firmware too?
I just got this exact router earlier this week and it's been excellent so far. No custom firmware, default works just fine for me. Excellent companion app as well by Asus.

Ok sincere question, I'm ignorant about this so bare with me. My only issue is I don't get good signal on my ground floor. A few mesh wifj systems have had deals (dual band) but I was hesitant to pull the trigger because they're not wifi 6. But it sounds like those would work fine if all I want is 5-10 devices to work at once, and full home coverage?
