Data point: the black were available at a local shoe store for $22.50 a few days ago, was told that they were being discontinued and cleared out. Don't know if that's the case for the orange but wanted to post this for anyone interested.
PSA: If you have a HSA/FSA, insoles are covered 100% without Dr note of medical neccessaity. If your asking what a HSA/FSA is, you don't have one.
If you work on your feet, get these (or the green ones), and also look for shoes with Vibram (rubber) soles.

I have varicose veins, I noticed when I wore my Merrell Jungle Moc shoes that I could shop longer and my feet/legs didn't ache as much. Then I had a podiatrist tell me that my arches were "falling" and recommended the Superfeet. Took out the Merrell insoles and put in the Superfeet (they take a couple of days to get used to them), and now I won't wear shoes without arch support.

My son ran XC in high school and college, he also swears by the Superfeet (orange); he started working retail and figured his athletic shoes (no orthotics) would be fine, he came home complaining about how much his legs ached. Got him some Merrell's, put in the Superfeet and no complaints (same response with another son working retail, and husband that walks on concrete all day).

If you walk, or on your feet a lot, I really believe (from experience) that *rubber* soles help. If you look for "rubber sole" shoes, it was all over the place, and I know that Vibram specifically makes shoe soles - so search with that term.

For Merrell's, the Jungle Moc is their best seller, I have their slip-on (mule) style. My husband, and
youngest son have the sweatiest feet, so they need shoes that breathe (but are waterproof), so I got them Merrell Moab 2's that they like.

Merrell's with Vibram soles: www.merrell.com/US/en/search?q=Vibram [merrell.com]

Thank you so much for the information and getting back to me. I will look into it.

Why are these insoles 2x the price of the top few best selling insoles on Amazon? And 3x the Dr Scholls for instance?
I believe its because they work very well and last for years. Superfeet and Powerstep are worth the extra, but I would do a comparison for yourself. I did and am a believer. Just make sure to get the right offering for your arch type.

Does anyone have any recommendation for online custom orthotics?

I know my diagnosis "cavus foot" but a custom orthotic from my podiatrist is $280, and this is at a community place with residents and students. So prob won't get too much cheaper

and if you're considering blowing your HSA on stuff like shoe insoles and forfeiting the tax free growth of leaving your the funds fully invested then you're doing it wrong

Easy for you to say, with your genetics that allows you to drive passed McDonalds without pain.

HSA funds can be invested for fully tax free growth, only triple tax advantaged acct there is, spending it now is a waste of half its utility

Have used Green for 6+ years in all my shoes (casual, dress, soccer cleats).
Have tried carbon in soccer cleats, but not enough support as Green.
This deal lets me try Orange, which according to their comparison chart is similar to Green but more durable/impact.
Thanks!

I started using Superfeet due to sciatica. My sciatica returns if I walk barefoot for a few hours around the house.
Before you jump into the Superfeet bandwagon, search around for insole addiction, as some people say they artificially support your foot and you really should be strengthening it somehow.

Made up? They retail $55 in all outdoor stores, and always have. They only go on sale a few times a year.

^^^ This. Insoles are a slippery slope down the pain train. If you aren't doing physical therapy to address your foot weakness issues and just slapping insoles in your shoes you are just making yourself weaker and more dependent and prone to injury. You can certainly use insoles as a tool alongside PT and exercises to help you back to health with fewer injuries.

First time using orange. The arch is a half inch closer to the heal than the usual blue ones I wear. I'm not sure if my feet were getting too used to the blue or they started to flatten out but lately my feet have been getting tired after 3 hours. I just got these yesterday. They're definitely giving me that "good pain" I'll be back for a full review in a week
