Here's the brickseek URL. Looks like current price is $159.

My store had these on clearance for $100 back in January. They are back to $159 now. I passed though because this generation isn't brushless. Waiting for 26" brushless deal.

Other than the extra 2" of length, what does the brushless trimmer offer over the brushed trimmer?

I found several at my store last night for $100, but they were still marked $159. I ended up buying the 18V version for $30, but it doesn't come with a battery. I also picked up the Ryobi tiller attachment for $10. They also had Ryobi hedge trimmer attachments for $10.

Tiller for $10 is a steal!

I couldn't pass it up. I think the original price was $159.99. It was marked $89.99 on clearance, but there were several new clearance stickers that hadn't been put on the boxes yet. Many items did not show the actual clearance price and the price did not show when I used the app to scan the UPC.

Power and run time. I have the 18V hedgetrimmer currently and it works fine for my shrubs so if I upgrade it will be for a brushless model.

I just picked up this exact hedge trimmer for $50 from home depot. I think it was open box but it looked brand new. It didn't come with a battery though so I'm looking for a good offbrand one now

We had a total loss fire and I'm slowly trying to rebuild my tool inventory. I'm currently struggling to keep up with finding enough 40v batteries since most of the deals are tool only. Any trick to stocking up on batteries?

I have mostly Ridgid 18V tools/batteries so I'd rather go for the Ridgid hedge trimmer, but the lowest price on that is about $130. Maybe if I can find an 18V Ryobi version for cheap, I might go for it and get one of those Ryobi 18V to Ridgid 18V battery adapters. Like this one https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0949QCQYY

I found a tool-only version of the 40V Gen II 24" hedge trimmer at my local HD for $50 so I ended up picking it up. Though the 18V ONE+ version was also available for $30, the adapter for Ridgid 18V batteries would have been about $15-$20 so I would have ended up in the $50 range anyway. I do have one 40V Ryobi battery for a string trimmer so yeah, I can make it work. In the long run, I would have preferred a Ridgid hedge trimmer simply for the lifetime warranty and all the 18V batteries I have, but honestly, the lowest price I have ever seen on that hedge trimmer is $129. So hard to argue with this $50 Ryobi version.
