You freeze everything overnight? ...this is a blender.

As someone with a real ice cream maker I cannot fathom how this has good reviews or makes good ice cream.

Haha yeah I was reading it and seems like a fancy blender … I think the programs / settings and blade make it "work". The Cuisinart ones where you freeze the bowl and then mix in the cream / sugar / toppings works really well and it was pretty cheap. Making ice cream can be done minimalist imo .. the hardest part is either putting in the arm work and/or having some paddle based machine to churn for you.

This is not worth it at all, at a little higher price you can get the self contained with compressor ice cream makers. Having to freeze something for 24 hours to use it the next day takes away all the fun from this device, this will be a waste of money for ice cream and just sit after the first few uses.

I got the a cheaper ice cream maker that works similar to the Cuisinart one from 15 or so years ago. It does work for making some ice cream and sorbet but it does not have the full function of this one. The main draw back with the Cuisinart kind is the need to cool down the large bucket at least overnight for making one ice cream. Also, it needs another container for storage and clean up the bowl after it is thawed. With this Ninja one, it comes with 3 pint containers for freezing the mixture, making the ice cream, and store it afterward. The only thing needs to be clean is the blade and cap between use. One can use all 3 pint jars in the same day and each batch only takes a few minutes (vs 20min with the Cuisinart kind) after you freeze the mixture overnight. With Cuisinart kit, make sure you assemble the bowl, stirrer, and lid before pouring in the mix. Quite often, you may get some mix on the lid. If you pour the mix in bowl first, you are going to cry.
This Ninja Creami got very good reviews. Check out the one on CNET. https://www.cnet.com/home/kitchen...eam-maker/

If you are impatient and cannot wait 24hr, go to grocery store and buy the ice cream.

Have one, does take a day ahead planning but it makes really nice and creamy icecream. Also after freezing it again and getting hard you can respin it to make it creamy again. Pretty good machine.

I bought one a these few months ago out of curiosity and under extreme skepticism that it was "just a blender." I use this kitchen gadget nearly every day now and love it.

Note it is pretty dang huge and gets really loud, and since I make healthier mixes with lower sugar/fat it strains the motor I'm sure. But the results are super thick ice-cream like mixes and the clean up is so simple.

This thing is amazing I was waiting to get this when I got a 40% off coupon. I got mine last week not sure the hate most ice cream machines you have to wait 24 hours for the bowel to freeze and the bowl is huge and takes up a lot of room in freezer this is easier to clean and the ice cream get colder then the one that use the frozen bowl and the creami so much quicker to make the ice cream.

God one a few days ago, I wish I was more patient and wait for the coupon. I had ice bucket type ice cream maker, was great but made way too much ice cream. Have cuisinart one in the storage but takes too much space in the freezer. This one is great because makes perfect amount of ice cream for me and my husband plus it doesn't take much space in the freezer. Didn't try it yet, I froze peaches in apple juice 2 days ago so hopefully I have time to play with it today.
