I bought this TV in February from Best Buy for $1389+tax. Very happy with it.

If I were aiming for the best balance of size, features, image quality, and price, this is the TV I would buy.

For reference I have a 55" 6-series and a 75" Sony 950H. The Sony definitely has better image quality, but the TCL absolutely holds its own and is great for streaming content, etc.

My 2 cents

I've had good luck with tcl except for one tv that was on 24/7 as a camera tv for like 4 years

The screen was working fine and so was the smart functionality, but the inputs burned out

So no matter the input, couldn't get it to work

Called tcl to find out if they had parts or repair service and they do not - their answer was "do you have an extended warranty"

Good news though I was able to find a board online from a website and they sold it for like $35 and I installed it, it came with the logic board and the power supply board - just a few screws and cable connectors - not hard at all

Only used the logic board, reset the panel to factory settings and it's working again

I bought this when it was $1000 at Walmart a year ago. Returned it because I wasn't a fan of the black crush. At $1,000 might be worth it, but I wouldn't pay $1,300.

Beware!!! Roku support is crap and they don't respond for any issues . If you are out of warranty, then roku updates bricks tv of different brands. And there is no fix for it and you will end up dumping the TV
