You're referencing the T-Mobile deal? There is indeed a standard process by which the line level credits are migrated to account level credits so that you can continue to receive them on a monthly basis.

Thanks OP. Been waiting for a deal like this. I had to get a 12PMx because my X died early. Now getting the 13PMx I always wanted. My cost with tax is $320. Worth it to me.
I'm with TM so no issues, I'm not leaving.

Just went into a Best Buy store to try to do this. Have a 12 pro on installment plan and wanted to know if I could trade in without phone being fully paid from eip. At first they said yes but then had trouble logging into my t mobile account and it took them like an hour to finally come back and tell me that in fact you did have to have the eip paid off to trade in. Complete disaster of an experience do not waste your time

Lol no. There's no contract nor is there a catch. You just trade in your phone(even if it's on EIP still) and they immediately give you the discount unlike TMO and their bill credits. You can request that they unlock it with a few days of getting this phone. Stop spreading misinformation.
