You're referencing the T-Mobile deal? There is indeed a standard process by which the line level credits are migrated to account level credits so that you can continue to receive them on a monthly basis.

Can anyone provide inputs whether T-Mobile locked iPhone would work on T-Mobile MVNO's?

Also, do I need to have the T-Mobile sim in the iPhone for 40 days to get it unlocked? OR I can activate the phone and use it on T-Mobile MVNO without causing issues with 40 days unlocking guidelines?

I checked online forums where folks have mentioned that it should work with Metro, Mint etc but could not find instance where someone has used MVNO sim on T-Mobile locked iPhone

Same issue. I was going to try and see what they would say if I spoke to someone in person. I have the 12 pro w/ tmobile sim, but obviously my plan is still from "sprint". I had this same issue last year upgrading, Costco had a iPhone deal I tried to do that was advertised as a tmobile deal, but they said I wasn't illegible. This whole merge thing has been a headache as only Best Buy sells "sprint" phones, idk why they can't just make us all elligible.

The TMo MVNO sim cards work in the TMo carrier locked iPhone. I just tested it with my Tello SIM.

This one was locked to the mother network first, then I tested the MVNO. This way I know the unlock policy. I miss the good old days when you could pop in a Verizon or Visible SIM for immediate unlock.
