You're referencing the T-Mobile deal? There is indeed a standard process by which the line level credits are migrated to account level credits so that you can continue to receive them on a monthly basis.

I have an Iphone 11. So I trade in with best buy and buy iphone 13 it will cost me $249.
If I trade in at Verizon I get the Iphone 13 free with trade in.

Plus they are giving $500 if you switch over.

I am a current Tmobile customer. If I switch over to Verizon, I get a new iphone 13 with $500 in my pocket. Plus another $150 from a cashback site.

You got it. In store they are collecting taxes on the full device value. Online it just calculates taxes on remaining balance. I was able to do one and from the 2nd one i am getting error after message authentication. Since my account is new Will have to go to tmobile to clear that security issue.

Do I have to have this shipped to a store to do the trade in? What happens if I ship it to my house? Will they give me a return mailer that I can send back the trade in device? I am asking this because there is no ship-to-store option available for any stores around me (South Bayarea, CA). Thanks

Check the switch over terms nd conditions. They will only pay if you owe any balance on the device or if there are any termination fees. Not a straight forward $500 credit.

Also in verizon its 24 months bill credits and their monthly plans are expensive. I am on that boat since April this year.

so if I don't have tmobile, I have to select and plan and enter my SSN just to buy the phone? it sounds like you can just get a cheaper plan (even prepaid?) to activate the phone and then request unlock on twitter

You can't have it shipped. Your trade in has to be given to the rep when you are doing the transaction
