A recent post mentioned trade-in value next September. I got a LOT more for an iPhone 11 256GB than what was offered for the 128GB model. I essentially used the iPhone 11 for two years for free since I bought it affordably through a Visible deal and the trade in value pretty much matched the purchase price.

Yep. It's all about the trade-in value. Especially, for older phones like an iPhone 6s that typically don't have much value at all.

yes to me $75 to upgrade 12 base to 13 base iphone is well worth. More battery, double storage, smaller notch, more future trade in value. I was able to find a blue iphine 13 128gb and went ahead with the upgrade!

Pardon a newbie here, but what's the lowest single user plan I can get service from tmo to go along with this phone, for comparison I am with visible on their $25 plan and it suffices my needs right now, I have a iPhone 12 mini 256gb and would like to trade up to a iPhone 13 mini 256gb

Looks like lowest single line is essentials for $60 a month + taxes/fees. Magenta might be cheaper at $70 but including all taxes and fees

Great deal. I traded in my old 32gb iPhone 7 and got the blue iPhone 13 (only color I could find around my area). $200 is double what I could likely get if I was to sell it myself ($100ish) with many places accepting it for less if I trade it in to a big box retailer.

Tmobile is having issues today though so I would highly recommend checking to see if your phone makes calls/receive texts before leaving the store if you're picking it up there (I was on wifi so initially didn't realized the issue). The employees did a great job activating my phone and restoring the backup from icloud, but the new Sim card still didn't work. It turns out that that my old Sim card that was in the iPhone 7 I was trading in was still active. This would have been a headache if I didn't catch it in time. We couldn't figure out why the info on the old Sim didn't transfer over to the new one so I just put my old Sim card into my new iPhone and it's working now.

I wasn't planning on upgrading my 12 Pro, but for $100 + tax (on $100, thankfully), it is a no-brainer. I was able to pick-up two Sierra Blue 128GB 13 Pros at a Best Buy 45 min away yesterday. No Max in any config available within an hour's drive.

I am on the T-Mobile One Plus plan. I had some issues with activating the new SIMs, but if you are familiar with doing that on T-Mobile's website, it took 1 min to activate once I swapped the SIMs associated with each line online. The Best Buy rep didn't give me any trouble (or cared) that the screen had some light scratching. Super simple process, and without requiring a new line, this honestly one of the best deals you'll find on a new iPhone.

Unless you want ProPres, the 128GB models are ideal for most people. I can see it being a popular storage option. I would even argue that a VERY small % of people will actually use ProRes.

I just relocated to Canada but still using T Mobile. Any better way to upgrade my current iphone ? Any help would be greatly appreciated - I need to ship my iphone 12 pro max to my friend and she will trade the phone and buy the new phone by paying 124$ extra. but my question is - when I ship my old iphone 12 pro max to US, do I need to pay any custom fees ? And while my friend ships the new iphone 13 pro max to me, will the customs be based on 124$ which I would be paying for upgrade or for the original iphone price ? iphone is crazy expensive in Canada !!

Yep. The payment portion is all done. It's just a matter of them taking the trade-in and activating your new device. It's not an ideal upgrade process because they take your old device at the same time so it makes transferring data not ideal, but my rep was suuuuper patient with me (the store was also dead), and I was able to keep the trade-in until the new device was up and running. Notate your iCloud password (I didn't know mine without a password manager), and if you run into activation issues, know that you can likely fix the issue without needing to call in by using your online account and inputting the new SIM number: https://www.t-mobile.com/support/...sim-cards.

If the activation process is quick, the the whole process is fast.

Can't you just show up with your old phone, trade it in, and leave? Do you have to set up the new phone in the store?
