You're referencing the T-Mobile deal? There is indeed a standard process by which the line level credits are migrated to account level credits so that you can continue to receive them on a monthly basis.

Trade-in devices will never come back. No matter where you do the tradein bestbuy, verizon, att, apple etc etc..

yes, just got back fr Best Buy and the guy suggested to do that with the 3 phones I wanted to trade in for the new one. He said trade those in at the counter, get Best Buy gc, and use those to buy the new phone.

the Best Buy person said to get the gc for the phones I don't need now (I currently have 2 unused phones that just sit there). Use those GCs to place an order for the new iphone as a payment. the earliest is somewhere in NOv. I forgot to ask about the phone that's currently in use and to be traded in :|. whether to turn in right away to can be hold off until the new one comes.. bummer

no, GC has no limitation ...maybe not use to buy visa/MC....also gc will not give additional warranty like from visa/mc/amex...In the back of my mind, I'm afraid of bb cancelling orders (they have been know to do that often)

I don't do bb much, so I don't want to have huge amount of it.

I don't think you will get the additional promotion when tradein for GC. You only get the base price.

The thing is they always have phones .. so the GC can be always useful ... given that you are not pressured to get a replacement in a small time window

Just left Best Buy. I ordered on the website, where I had no issues verifying my account. When I got there they claimed the system was having issues with pickups so they had to cancel my order and try to do a new one. After multiple attempts the rep could not get through on my account for some reason even though I verified every time. She claimed my account was showing some Galaxy Tab on the line. I left without a new phone. Pretty frustrated. I might try another store tomorrow.

For those who got the new iPhone as an upgrade to your old line, anyone still using their previous sim? If you are using the new sim, do you have to call TMobile to transfer back the old number?

if you picked up phone, you can go to BB order status - there is ACTIVATE button click on it , it will activate the new SIM

Still using my old sim. For some reason the new SIM wouldn't activate and they just said, "Oh well, we'll just put your old SIM in the new phone instead of wasting your time trying to call TMobile to get them to switch it"
