You're referencing the T-Mobile deal? There is indeed a standard process by which the line level credits are migrated to account level credits so that you can continue to receive them on a monthly basis.

I thought even if the phone has been paid off in full, you still have to have at least two months of service with them before it can be unlocked?

This deal was similar to the previous deal where they took 100 off each phone and gave us an additional 100 for our trade in phones. This deal just gives you more for your trade in but doesn't give you any discount on the new phone. Still a good deal tho.

Ordered one for my wife for store pickup, order went through. Now trying one for my phone and it's saying my line isn't upgrade eligible which makes no sense because my phone is listed as eligible for an upgrade when I log into the T-Mobile site (I have an XR that's over two years old, paid in full). I also have another line that I use for my work phone, when I tried that line it says that line is eligible. Can I possibly use that number just to complete the check out process, but then use the SIM card from my personal phone instead?

May be they might change the policy.

But in mine case no question asked I requested unlock and they did.

I found out yesterday that even in store i was charged tax on the remaining bakance due after trade in. The first stage it shows tax on the retail price then while they reach the final step of payment it gets updated to the tax on balance due. So mobile, web or instore it doesnt matter atleast for socal folks.

Yes tax seems to be random for few people like you and me. I think it depends on your account home address or TMobile account type because I tried ordering the same phone at the same locations as some here but still got charged close to full price(but exactly full price). I still couldn't figure out why it's that way.
