You're referencing the T-Mobile deal? There is indeed a standard process by which the line level credits are migrated to account level credits so that you can continue to receive them on a monthly basis.

Trade-in devices will never come back. No matter where you do the tradein bestbuy, verizon, att, apple etc etc..

I placed an order on order on BestBuy mobile site at pick up location where there was plenty of availability. I just got an email as from BB -
We had to cancel your mobile order.
We were unable to activate the device you purchased on our site, so we had to cancel the item(s) included in your mobile package. We will now begin processing a refund for your payment.

Any idea what this is all about and how to proceed next?

I got the same email form BB. I ordered online with trade-in. Were you able to figure out what's happening? How did you get around it?

I had the same thing happen to me, first time yesterday morning Chase declined the charge due to 'suspicious activity' so I put a second order in using Discover, that got cancelled too. An hour on BB phone customer service was useless,same calling tmo. I'll just try again and see if whatever the glitch is works itself out.

I did 2 online orders got this on order #1 but order #2 went through fine. I simply re-did order #1 again for the same item at the same store with same phone number and it worked fine the 2nd time. We pick them up tonight but have 2 emails from BB saying phones are ready for pickup. So I suggest just trying again.

Just picked up pink iphone 13 for $187 after gave up S21. In and out within 15 mins once the rep found the phone.

Bestbuy now charges full sales tax before discount in CA. It wasn't the case yesterday for this trade in deal.

Bestbuy does not have it together for this promo they have no idea what is going on whatever you do don't call the 800 number they are clueless they tell you to go into the store if you go into the store they charge more money than the online price. Makes no sense.
