You're referencing the T-Mobile deal? There is indeed a standard process by which the line level credits are migrated to account level credits so that you can continue to receive them on a monthly basis.

Yes, except it's also discounted upfront so you only get charged for the difference of the cost of the phone minus the trade-in device that you'll hand in during the same transaction.

Why not just open two lines from Costco? Don't they just ask that you have a device, it can be any device (aka borrow someone's phone just to show Costco and then return). This way you can process both deals at the same time without waiting for 13 inventory and unlock.

Sorry guys I read all but had below questions:
1. I have 11 pro max 64GB in excellent condition. Is there any hidden term for not getting full trade in value for phone like storage etc? Is it same trade in value for any storage?

2. I have 2 t mobile lines with essentials plan. Do I just need to tell at BB counter to use these 2 lines with new phone purchased? No upgrade or no new lines needed?

The phones from BB (and other retailers like Walmart and Target) use the US Flex reseller policy. I.e., the phone will automatically pick up the locking policy of the carrier based on the first sim card that is in the phone when it's turned on. It has to be a US carrier's sim card that it has to be activated with the first time; any international sim cards will be rejected. The phone can be unlocked for international use after you get it unlocked from the US carrier it locks to. Tmobile and Verizon probably the best bets as you'd have to pay for 2 months of service and the phone will unlock (after 40 days for Tmobile and after 60 days for Verizon). If you have an existing line from these carrier that you activate the phone on, you *might* be able to get it unlocked sooner than that.

Based on similar research I did for a similar purpose (to ship it off internationally), the US version is pretty good for most places of the world. It has most of the LTE bands, as well as the newer 5G bands, which some of the international versions lack.

1. you can choose different storage and see the trade value. Based on my own phones/models, they are the same. But I have 64-128 ones.

2. They just need your number, plan is irrelavent.

I had an iPhone 11 to trade in and I was interested in the Pro Max (available for pickup Nov 26th), so I opened a new T-Mobile account to qualify for the new activation discount ($65/mo plan).

If you're traveling internationally sometime soon (and you'll need to use your service out of the country), you can ask for a temporary unlock. They'll unlock your device...and because there's no way to relock an iPhone, it'll be permanently unlocked. So in essence, you don't "really" have to wait 40 days to get your phone unlocked.
