you dont need to pay $10 for sim card. phone comes with sim card. you cn ask refund.

I dont have idea to buy the phone. trade in value is good , so i purchased this phone.

just upgraded my device in my existing tmobile acct and bought iphone 13 with trade in my old phone.If i activate this new device in some other carrier / prepaid. will it be any impact on my t-mobile account.

It will have more trouble to unlock phone, like Metro by T-Mobile need wait 6 months, Cricket need 12 months of service etc.

Activating it on your T-Mobile account has no "impact" on your T-Mobile account. There are provisions for nearly immediate unlock when you present a receipt showing it is paid in full at Best Buy. They send the unlock request to a special third party vendor who is supposed to process unlock in 72 hours or less.

Keep an eye on our e-mails and Best Buy notifications. I had a 13 Pro Max that wasn't supposed to arrive until 19 November that is now ready for pickup today.

Was able to unlock 2 phones with 48 hours but they required that I must activated the phones first to register onto the network. Anyone able to unlock without putting the Tmo sim in for activation?

You can't unlock unless you activate.. carrier would have no way to unlock your phone unless it is activated and locked to that carrier

Was just chatting with a best buy rep regarding the issue some are having with not being able to log into their mobile account through bestbuy and this is the information he provided.

Hi, may I ask who told you that it wasn't a hard pull? I was under the assumption that being a new postpaid customer meant that they were going to (hard) pull your credit...asking for myself. 😊 I opened a new account via the Best Buy website, but I haven't picked up the phone yet since it's not in stock. Since ordering, I've been checking my credit report, but haven't seen anything yet (a soft pull nor a hard pull). I wonder if the soft/hard pull only shows up when we actually pick up/activate the phone.

Side note: The phone won't immediately work Mint. You have to stay with T-Mobile for at least 40 days of active service before they'll unlock your phone. However, others have had luck contacting T-Force (on Twitter) and mentioning that they purchased the phone from Best Buy and/or requesting a temporary unlock (for international travel). Out of all the phone companies/MVNOs, T-Mobile seems to have the most lenient unlock policy (for example, you have to have service with Mint for 12 months before they'll unlock the phone).

The salesperson in best buy said so. In my previous experience a hard pull drag down credit score about 25. Mine is over 800 so I don't really care. Thanks for the mint comment.
