I have been trying for a few days now to add the phone in cart. Pretty much same story every time - shows a few in stock nearby but never allows me to add anything to the cart.

Is there a trick to add it successfully?

I asked a similar question a few days ago, the answer I got was that the inventory system for shipping and store pickup are different for phones thus it is not possible to do pickup this way.. But not 100% sure as I didn't try it at the store.

Add it to your cart without selecting a store, go through the verification/upgrade process, thren select the store once the phone is in your cart.

The BB rep needed to input info from the phone under general settings. He also had to acquire a text from T-Mobile from the phone to trade-in so maybe back it up and sign out of Apple ID then just erase all at the store.

Just sharing my pick up experience. Waited about 20 minutes because the BB rep was assisting someone and the other one couldn't get past the mobile number. Turns out you can select from the account once the other BB rep took over. He had to enter all of my license info which I found alarming but said it was to prevent fraud. Not sure why it needed my height/weight too. Then he went through the process of phone trade-in which returned $200 less because the promo wasn't applying. I proceeded to go through the order from the BB app and it was there.

Had to wait on the senior BB rep. Found he was going through the process of ordering the phone instead of just a pick up. Still strange because others said they ordered in-store without this issue. Then he insisted he must activate the phone AND insert the new SIM which failed. He went over to the opposite terminal and I was wondering what he was doing. He apparently power cycled the phone thinking it would help but didn't. I told him just use the one I already have (like I told him in the first place) and it worked. The guys were nice but they weren't knowledgeable about the pick up process. He also said they have plenty in stock after I asked. It must be from other carrier stock because I have one pending next month to pick up. He said the only ones that go out of stock quickly are the Pro Max.

These phones from BestBuy is having US Reseller Flex Policy Applied which means whatever first sim card you put into the phone it will get locked to that Carrier.
Unlocking then can be done based on your respective Carrier Policy.

Nowadays no carriers are giving unlocked phones. Verizon used to but now they are locking for 60 days.

So my wife has a 12 Pro that we got from Visible mobile (unlocked) last year and using Tmo MVNO for service right now. So if she wants to get in on this deal will she need to activate a line with Tmo, trade in phone at BB for $900 credit which can apply to phone price and then pay off the rest of the amount and close account and have an unlocked 13 Pro? Or does she need to stay a few months before closing account?

I was able to purchase the phone online and get the trade in value. Got an email to schedule an appointment and I get the following message: "We're sorry. It looks like something went wrong on our end. You can try again or go to your Order Details page."

Can I just go in and do the trade in without this appointment? They mention they'll hold the phone till 11/8 in the email.

Did this today. Ordered online and went to store an hour later. Walked in.
Showed the tradein, showed my ID, showed the order email confirmation.

Less than 10 minutes later I am in my car. Went home and finished setup.. actually switched sims to a another phone we got at Costco via the BOGO. The phone we got from BB will be going to another family member. (mini vs regular)
